Deleting Your Sensor(s)
This guide will help you learn to delete a sensor in the AlertAQ™ Intelligence Platform, which is a simple and straightforward process. Follow these steps to delete a sensor from your account
Note: This action deletes the data associated with the sensor as well. Please be sure to save any data you need before deleting the sensor from your account.
Step 1: Log in to your Dashboard
First, you need to log in to AlertAQ™. Enter your username and password in the required fields and click on the "Login" button.
Step 2: Locate and Select the Sensor to be Deleted
After logging in, you will see the main overview page of the dashboard. Look for the "Sensors" menu on the left-hand navigation and click on it. Within the Sensors page, you can use the top dropdown box or the search box to narrow down to the desired sensor you wish to delete.
Step 3: Go to Sensor's Settings
Click on the sensor you are looking to delete, and a detail panel will appear on the right-hand side. Within this detail panel, scroll down to select "Settings":
Step 4: Expand Device Settings Section & Delete Sensor
Within the Sensor's Settings page, click on "Device Settings" to expand that section. At the bottom of that section you'll see the button for "Remove Sensor". Click the Remove Sensor button to delete this sensor
Note: This action deletes the data associated with the sensor as well. Please be sure to save any data you need before deleting the sensor from your account.
You're done!
You have now successfully deleted the sensor. This removes the sensor from the property it's registered at currently in your account, but it will not remove the subscription (so you can repurpose that sensor at other locations if you like). If you need to fully cancel this sensor's subscription, just reach out to us (hello@alertlabs.com) with the serial number, and our team can cancel the subscription.
