If your Floodie or Humie sensor is offline, it may be due to the cellular sensor it’s connected to, such as the Sensor Relay, being offline. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Step 1: Check the Cellular Sensor's Connection
First, ensure that the Sensor Relay is connected. You can verify this by logging into AlertAQ and navigating to the alerts section to check for any offline alerts.
Step 2: Assess Signal Strength
If the Sensor Relay is connected, the issue might be due to weak signal strength between the Humie/Floodie sensor and the cellular sensor. Try the following steps:
Take the Humie or Floodie sensor closer to the Sensor Relay.
Remove the batteries from the sensor for 10 seconds and then put them back in. Once reconnected, the sensor will display a green LED light, indicating it’s ready to be installed back in its original position.
Step 3: Relocate the Sensor Relay
If the Sensor Relay is more than 500 feet away from the Humie/Floodie sensor, consider relocating the relay closer to the sensor. Placing the relay on higher ground or near a window can help maintain a better signal.
Sensor Status Lights
The lights on your sensor indicate its status:
White: Sensor is starting up
Red: Sensor is searching for a connection
Magenta/Purple: Sensor is updating firmware
Green: Sensor is connected and communicating with AlertAQ™
