When an alert comes in—whether it’s a leak, flood, or temperature change—you need to know where to go. The new Interactive Floor Plan feature in AlertAQ™ makes it easy to see the location of sensors so you can act fast.
Please note:
Editor and Admin roles are able to upload Floor Plans and add sensors to them. Viewers are able to view and interact with them.
Add your floor plan(s)
A Floor Plan can be added at the building and zone location levels.
Log into AlertAQ™ and go to the Locations Page
Select the building or zone to open the Details side panel
Click +Add to be taken to the Interactive Floor Plan page
Click Upload Image.
Note: you can upload multiple images.Upload an image of your floor plan. The file can be up to 4MB for a .jpeg, .png, .tiff, or .gif format, or up to 20MB for a .pdf format.
Note: multi-page PDFs will upload each page separately.
Adding additional floor plans
If you've already uploaded at least one floor plan, but want to add more,
Click the dropdown icon (
) beside your Floor Plan upload.Choose Upload More Images.
Select and upload your floor plan(s). The file can be up to 4MB for a .jpeg, .png, .tiff, or .gif format, or up to 20MB for a .pdf format.
Note: multi-page PDFs will upload each page separately.
Add your sensors
After you successfully add your floor plan, you can start adding your sensors.
Open to the Floor Plan page. The sensors registered to that location will populate on the left sidebar.
Click and drag each sensor to place it on the plan. The position will be saved automatically once it is placed on the floor plan.
Alert View
The default view for the Floor Plan displays ongoing alerts for that sensor. A badge in the top corner of the icon will let you know the number and severity of ongoing alerts. The sensor list beside it will also show ongoing alerts.
For more information about the alert,
Click the sensor on the floor plan to open the Details side panel.
Click View Alerts near the bottom.
Signal View
If you'd like to see signal strength use the toggle at the top of the screen to switch to the Signal view. This will display a badge at the top of the sensor icon representing its signal strength, which can help find the optimal position for sensor connections.
Hover over the question mark at the top to see what each symbol means.
Moving your sensors
If you need to update the placement of your sensors, click the Edit button at the top of the page.
Click-and-drag the sensors to their new placement. The position will be saved automatically once placed. Click the Done button at the top when finished to exit the Edit mode.
Finding your sensors
Once placed, the sensors will show on the map as their sensor icons, which can be difficult to distinguish between if you have multiple of the same sensor.
You can find a specific sensor in several ways:
Use the search feature to filter the sensors showing on the floor plan and side panel. Search by sensor type, name, and serial number.
Hovering over the sensor icon on the map will highlight the sensor in the side panel.
Hover over the name in the side panel or click "View on map" to emphasize and expand the icon to the sensor image.
Deleting or changing your floor plan(s)
If you need to delete or change your floor plan,
Click the trash can icon (
) in the bottom left corner to delete the file.Confirm from the pop up that you'd like to Remove the floor plan.
Note: This action cannot be undone.
OR
Click the dropdown icon (
) beside your Floor Plan upload.Choose Edit Images.
Click the red trash can icon (
) to delete a single file or Remove All to delete all listed floor plans for that location.Confirm from the pop up that you'd like to Remove the floor plan.
Note: This action cannot be undone.
If you just want to remove the floor plan, no further action is needed.
To add a new floor plan, click the Upload Image button to add the updated layout.
