Smart Notifications

Important alerts shouldn’t be missed—or duplicated. That’s why we have Smart Notifications in AlertAQ™.

When Mobile Notifications are enabled, you'll have the option to receive notifications by,

  • Smart Notifications
    Receive an app push notification, with a text message backup if the push can't be delivered

  • App
    App pushes only

  • App & Text
    Receive both an app push and text message notification every time

  • Text
    Text messages only

New AlertAQ™ accounts will be set up for Smart notifications by default.

To edit how you receive your Mobile Notifications,

  1. Log into alertaq.com

  2. Select "Account" from the sidebar navigation

  3. Click on the Notifications tab at the top

  4. Enable Mobile Notifications

  5. Choose your preferred delivery method

  6. Hit the save button at the bottom of the screen


Why use Smart Notifications?

Receiving the App push notification first can help you get information quicker, with the added security of text notification backup.

App notifications include a direct link to the specific sensor or device that triggered the alert, allowing you to get to the right information faster. They also aren’t limited by Text message character restrictions, so more context can be provided when it’s useful.


If an App notification can’t be delivered, a Text notification will still be sent, helping reduce unnecessary duplicates.
