Floodie is designed to run for approximately 2 years on a pair of AA batteries.
When it's time to replace the batteries, please follow the steps below:
Accessing the Battery Compartment:
Start by removing the top cover of the Floodie sensor. To do this, lift the tab on the side above the Alert Labs logo, and separate the pieces. The tab may be stiff and require some force.
โReplacing the Batteries:
Once you've removed the top cover, you will see a pair of AA batteries in the battery compartment. Replace the old batteries with a pair of new ones in the same orientation. Please dispose of the used batteries responsibly.
Upon inserting new batteries, the light will come on for several minutes. Make sure the light is green, which indicates you have a good signal.
โReassembling the Device:
After you've inserted the new batteries, put the top cover back on the sensor. Align the cover so that the tab is on the side above the Alert Labs logo and the gold contacts are on the side below it. Listen for the click to know when it's in place.
