Blocked valve | Shuttie (Plug In)
Updated over a month ago

If your Shuttie (Plug In) experiences a stuck alert due to a physical obstruction blocking the valve, it may enter a safety mode where it turns more slowly than usual for later actuations. This slower actuation will happen until it successfully closes, and may prevent the stuck alert from clearing in AlertAQ™ until then.

Recommended Action

To ensure your Shuttie Plug-In returns to normal operation, follow these steps:

  1. Clear the Obstruction: Completely remove any physical obstacle blocking the valve.

  2. Manual Override: Use the manual override to turn the valve to the fully closed position. This will help reset the valve and end the slow actuation.

    • Step-by-Step Manual Override Procedure:

      1. Locate and Push Down the Button: Press down the manual override button firmly. There is an optional clip on the side of the button that will hold it down for you if you want to use both hands to pull the lever.

      2. Pull the Handle: While holding down the button, manually pull the handle to turn the valve to the fully closed position.

  3. Verify Operation: After manually closing the valve, test the Shuttie Plug-In to ensure it operates normally. If the valve closes and opens at the expected speed, the issue should be resolved.

By following these steps, you can quickly resolve any stuck event and maintain the optimal performance of your Shuttie Plug-In.

Additional Tips

  • Regular Maintenance: Periodically check your Shuttie Plug-In for any potential obstructions or debris that might obstruct the valve.
